A two day residential retreat for women was held at Sri Sarada Math, Pune on 15th and 16th July, 2017

   

A two day residential retreat for women was held at Sri Sarada Math, Pune on 15th and 16th July, 2017. About 110 ladies participated. On the first day, Pravrajika Amalaprana, General Secretary gave an introduction on Srimad Bhagavatam. Then in the consecutive three lectures, she spoke on Kunti’s stuti, Bhisma’s stuti and Kalia Daman. Pravrajika Anilaprana, Secretary of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Khonsa and Dirang centres, Arunachal Pradesh spoke on the tribal work done there through a power point presentation. Pravrajika Ambarprana of Varanasi centre spoke on “Sister Nivedita – Her love for India”. There was also guided meditation, bhajans etc.

On 16th July, Pravrajika Ambarprana spoke on the life of Goswami Tulsidas, after which there was a cultural programme by the participants. Some of them wrote about the influence Sri Thakur, Ma and Swamiji had on their lives.

On 18th, 19th and 20th July, Pravrajika Ambarprana recited Ramcharitmanas.


The General Secretary inaugurated the Junior College for Girls at the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Kamptee.

   

The General Secretary inaugurated on 1st August the Junior College for Girls at the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Kamptee. The College will run classes XI & XII with two streams: Science and Commerce. 47 students have taken admission in XI standard (25 for science and 22 for commerce). New laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology were also opened on that day. In the inaugural meeting, Pravrajika Amalaprana addressed the audience on the purpose of education in the light of Swamiji. There were also other speakers. About 900 students, parents, devotees etc. attended the programme.
